I kinda want to do a "where are they now" thread.....

Haha, that's the question.
Hunchback et friend ran a 're-introducing' thread on google groups. I believe that was 2015? ;-)

(my wife will probably cut them off otherwise if I'm not around; it's probably that northern finnish blood... you get what I mean...)

No idea. All finns are known to be reasonable and chill people... haha I kid! Just take all knives or mora knivar away and you should be good. :D

Yeah, ’reasonable’ up to some level. ;-)
But good luck repairing that if I’m gone in the future.
That annoys me. :)

Christmas eve soon! :D Merry christmas!
May you all have lots of fish!

(Admin have to approve all new accounts; I heard he is pretty clever with emails so should probably see less bots now) ;)

Riljek, no one cares for your lowered or nonexistant immune system?

Understanding isn't always easy. It's back to normal values now. :)
There was times when things could have gone in different directions, I told them that it's important to keep good relations with my kids if they wanted any in the future.
(my wife will probably cut them off otherwise if I'm not around; it's probably that northern finnish blood... you get what I mean...)

Having Christmas with my parents, of course, one of them is in hospital so hohohoo.

I idle on irc if you want to talk about it. I had my share of weeks/months at hospital.
So far I have just gotten good news when life is grimm, but I think I know how I'll die, if that helps.
I made my preparations at 35. I'm satisfied with it. I did good even if it would be short, right now it doesn't look like it. :)

As some of you may remember, I grew up a Jehovah's Witness so Christmas was always kind of bittersweet for me without my extended family. However, this year for the first time, enough of the fam have left the cult and we're throwing a big Christmas Eve party which I am looking forward to. This will also be the first Christmas since Amanda and I separated so that will be kind of a thing as well....

Life is too complicated sometimes.

My parents and sister decided my little illness (stage IV cancer) wasn't too much to worry about.
So now I keep them at an arms length. On two years I have probably seen my sister twice?
Before hat they were mostly rude, I didn't think you could get jealous that your kid is doing good, but obviously I was wrong (again).

Riljek. Why are you a Blues Brother?

No idea, it's not me for sure. :) I hate blues.
Got any recommendations?

So you actually beat it? You are in remission?

Still in remission after 6 months. It’s most common to get unlucky the first 48 months...
Not sure about beating anything or what exactly ’cure’ means.

I hope to have some good years. :)

Freaky Gamer / Fortnite?
« on: December 13, 2018, 01:53:29 pm »
Any Fortnite players?
I try to play with my son, I got user id 'Old.Myrddraal' if you want to add me.

I don't buy stuff and I suck at it.
But sometimes it's fun to play in a team. ;)

I think I have speent a year watching: Hells Kitchen, Master chef US, Australia, Sw... ... ...and the list of shows goes on. ;-)

What software did you use for editing?

Awesome! :)

I totally suck at archery.
I'm good with a rifle and I tried to get into 'rifle running' for a short time.

I would want to try that again, but with my current body running is still no go. :-(
(2008 I ran 70-100 km a week, but no marathon distances, still fat (relative) but I feelt strong back then... (at least, finally, better self image))

Then I stopped 2009. I sort of crashed for many reasons I'm never going to discuss here. 2011/2012 was also difficult years, by then I was more or less off grid from forums etc. i.e. facebook had taken over. 2016 was the year I reclaimed some personal space and said stop to impossible work and impossible, and rude, management. :) That sort of backfired, I got my diagnosis at end of 2016, by then I had probably had my disease for years. I was so tired, but went on anyhow for a long time until I could walk no more. Nobody can say for sure how long I have been sick. Mayby Minx (for example) can guess but I'm not going to ask about the pathology, for many reasons.

Now I'm tired and body hurts but I'm sort of reborn again too. :)

Freak Central / Re: Sorry for the Theme...
« on: December 13, 2018, 01:14:38 pm »
I also like SunRise alot (probably built on NightBreeze20 :P) because it's mobile friendly and you can toggle day/night by pressing the sun icon.
I had it set to default for some time but it's possible that was before there was any visitors. ;)

I experimented a bit with NightBreeze20 and tried to get the Wheel of Time look back but it's burried.
I'm not great with css (or/and, there are many many attributes/classes/identifiers etc)

Freak Central / Re: Sorry for the Theme...

How do i change the theme?

That is a good question! :)

Freak Central / Re: Sorry for the Theme...
« on: December 12, 2018, 11:32:33 pm »
Changed to a more christmas oriented theme. ;D
Found the old christmas logo from 2004 in a web archive.

I suggest changing theme to NightBreeze20.
More phone friendly... Any improvement?

Oh, joy. I went through all of my posts here, luckily there weren't that many!
I can see the bent up anger within myself during those years and just the immaturity showing off in so many posts.

Just wait until I get the Atari archives up :P
It would be strange if some age didn’t result in some wisdom though to core you remain the same.

I spent some time today so its only a few days away.
I have decided not to merge it with the ff database.
It feels sort of like a good and honest legacy solution. :)

Next project after that will be some irc integration.
(I’m not a huge fan of discord...)

On hw side, long term, probably get a master and slave DNS name server (though you will not notice that) - bit tired of this mess. Set up a dedicated firewall. The ASUS one stops basic injections but it pretty much sucks since I cant configure it.

As for Fortnite, the old Dad in me thinks it can be dangerous unchecked, but the kid in me remembers spending 10 hours a day on MUD's and WOW when I had time and etc etc etc. I think your idea to play with them is the best one.

Yeah, I think we all know how that goes.
They might even start finding insane people on the internet. ;)
