Any luck yet? :lurk:
If there is a thread, I'll post in it. If I post in it, it will die. That is the cycle of the Walrus.

When people see me lurkin', they go pomgwtfnoesbbq and guestify. Are you a pretty little guest now too?

It's a bit longwinded in parts, but overall it's pretty good...

Hong's 2nd law: "Thinking too hard about fantasy is bad"
Hong's 3rd law: "Any sufficiently widespread magic is indistinguishable from technology"

She needs to hurry up and finish Exiles is what she needs to do. Forest Mage's alright.

What is the style of Hobb?
"Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."

Hobb is pretty much the greatest. Enthralling books that interfere with real life.

Robin Hobb totally rocks my face off.  I eat everything up that she's written.  Even when the description for this book sounded terrible "soldier son of soldier son goes to school"...  right.

Anyway, yeah, start with Apprentice.  I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried under my covers for about 15 minutes after book 9 (9 quality books, not like book nine of wheel of time where it might as well be book 1/2)

Dax, who loves loves loves Robin :o)

Robin Hobb is a goddess. She writes consistently, a book a year, and her books have been getting bigger, did you notice?
Also, anything she writes varies from good to fucking great. And yes, I cried my eyes out over "Fool's Fate" as well. Thrice. :)
