He's adorable! I keep getting the "Michael Finnigan" song stuck in my head every time I read this thread.

I'm gonna guess a cockapoo?

He is an .... Apricot Miniature Poodle!!! Cockapoo was a great guess, he looks a lot like one. (a little large for a mini though,  at 8.5 weeks he was a pound and a half larger than his siblings 5.5 pounds vs their 4)

He doesn't look like a poodle because he is without the retarded face cut. Don't confuse him with a Toy or Teacup, he will be rather tall, especially since he is on the big side, about 16-17 inches at the shoulder, basically to my mid-thigh.

He is very very mellow, not nervous, yippy or shakey, doesn't bark, and... we aren't allergic to him because he doesn't have fur, he has non-shedding wool hair.

A well bred Miniature or Standard poodle raised under foot is a fantastic dog. I am not a fan of small toys or teacups, while you can train them, I find them terribly nervous dogs. Poodles are classified as the 2nd most intelligent breed, to some the 1st, easiest of all dogs to train, loves people, other animals, no dominance issues, great with kids.

He doesn't pee/poop in the house or in his crate. When he has to go, he wiggles around and hops at us to take him out. We have had him for 5 days now and he had an accident in his crate on the first night (we think it was from fear) and a small accident yesterday because I was too busy cooking and not paying attention. Other than that, he only ever goes outside, which is nuts for a 10 week old puppy. When when sit him in the grass and say "Go Pee" he will go pee. If we say no, he stops what he is doing. He doesn't cry when we put him in his crate, and overall, I gotta say, I knew poodles were smart, but he takes the cake. Incredibly intelligent. And he is soooo lazy and laid back :)

The next time we get a pet I would like one that doesn't shed.  I'm thinking a standard poodle.  When the kids all move out Chris and I want to get a really tiny dog, and a big dog (like a mastiff, or a Saint Bernard).

Oh, we'll get the kids a dog when they get a bit older, old enough to take care of it.  But we want a couple of pets, so we'll have more dogs when the kids start moving out.  We need something to replace them :P

that's a really cute dog mandie! i love apricot coloured doggies. i would've guessed a labradoodle as well, but at least he's not a toy poodle, can't stand those!
i'm just attracted to shiny things. and soft
fluffy things. god help me if someone ever invents a soft fluffy shiny thing.

We just love him. He couldn't be a better fit for us. He is so smart, I still cant' get over it. He will play when we play, relax when we relax, he listens, and he's already learning commands, like sit etc. He's wonderful  :luv:

Here is Finnigan at 15 weeks (took these this morning while my Emma was getting ready for school.) He isn't brushed or groomed and is due for his bath, but he's terribly cute... :D

I'll be sure to snap more shots after his bath and brushing.
