Well, I started dead Space yesterday and I'm fucking loving it. It doesn't reinvent the Survival Horror Genre, but it does do everything perfectly. It has a coherent story, gameplay that doesn't depend on simply giving you way too little ammo (instead you have to use your ammo smartly to take off the limbs of monsters to kill them as fast as possible), a great HUD (it's non existent, everything is done through in-game holograms), awesome sound and very nice graphics. Controls at leats on the PC are pretty smooth and the game has had me freaked out a few moments when I was just beset on all sides by crazy necromorphs trying to eat my legs off.
I'd just suggest any experienced gamer to play it on hard level, because even on hard it isn't the most challenging game ever. It feels more like what medium should have been...
Also if you have problems with babies turning into tentacled acid spitting monsters, don't play this game. Otherwise I really recommend it...
