It was actually the first movie which got me so bored that I left the movie earlier than it ended...

I have never been so far away from even getting close to a vague smile during a movie.

It invoked absolute apathy inside of me and half of the audience. As soon as we left, some other people followed in our trail. They just didnt leave before because they found it embarassing. :)

I loved the movie.  Gene Hackman was great.  Maybe it is more of a film for people who's first language is English.  :)

Oh, I got it. I just did not laugh about it.
Not my sense of humour.

Unless the movie's strong point was after an hour?

Then we went away at a good point in the movie and I am glad we spent the rest of the night drinking bacardi breezers. :)

I don't know, I really didn't think that all that was happening was hilarious. I really found it a sad, sad situation actually.

i enjoyed the movie a lot!  watched it without knowing anything about it  and was very pleasently surprised.

didn't find it necessarily hilarious like laughing out loud hilarity but funny on a very different level.  a sad sorta funny maybe.

It was a sad situation Lannie but you can still laugh :)  I think it's the first film  I didn't mind Owen Wilson in.  Did he get a nosejob?

I also just recently watched it.  I thought of it being more of a dark comedy than anything else.  It's just a story about a family and I really liked the way that it was told.  I was watching it with joverbroody and some of his friends.
