Just bought Final fantasy I & II...
« on: April 30, 2003, 06:48:28 PM »
.... It's not that bad, but not good either.
It's ok they upgraded the graphics and they threw a few movies in it. But Loading a game or saving costs me almost 3 minutes. That's ver annoying.

But I like the Quests and the fighting, I'll defiantly am going to see it trough the end.

But.... where is FF III?
I / 10 is everywhere to find, except that one ^_^

Oh well, I hope more people have the New FF I & II

I believe 3 is what we call 6.
They mixed up the count between the japanese releases and the international ones at a certain point :)

FF 1 - 3 were for the NES; only 1 was ever released in the US. Then, FF 4 became FF 2 in the US and FF6 became FF3.

She's referring to the Jap FF 1 and 2, released as Final Fantasy Origins (which I'm playing too, btw! Mm.. Gotta love FF 2 especially!), so I assume her FF 3 means FF 3 and not 6. :)
Some play hard to get. I play hard to want.

Right, since FF3 is the only canonical FF not released in the US now.

And I thought they had fixed the load times...?

Make sure everyone is in their overdrives, that must help. And the Aeons, too.

It'll give you a good excuse to walk around and listen to the themesong of the mountain while levelling up. :)
You'll need it anyway. Just like you have to level a lot after Seymour - you'll need to have the Holy spell before you reach the next endboss at Zanarkand, which will be right after. Have fun :)

The first Final Fantasy is really the only one worth playing, IMO.

I disagree on that.
The only thing you have to do is solving quests, and that's very annoying...

What do you need gold needles for?  It's been a while since I last played FF1 but I don't recall them at all.

unless the names have changed since the NES version, you want a a Soft potion that you can buy from Elfland and later towns or the level 6 Soft spell bought in Cresant Lake.

that's why I always carried some of the potions around ;)  only 800 gp a piece.
