Dynasty Tactics
« on: September 12, 2002, 05:08:57 AM »
Just came out for the PS2 (either yesterday, or today, depending on the retailer), and I picked up my reserved copy at the local Babbages (or whatever they became now) earlier today.

It's based in the same time frame as most of Koei's games - in the Three Kingdoms period in China. It's pretty good, at least what I've played so far. Gameplay is much like a combination of Dynasty Warriors and FFTactics, with diplomatic options tossed in. I've only played as Liu Bei so far, since I like to pick a side and stick with it.

All in all, it's a rather enjoyable game even when I factor in the double cross by Lu Bu that coincides with a massive offensive by Cao Cao. Keeps the brain active, I'll say that much.
