I love my Vista OS, LOVE. It's so beautiful and easy to work in. It was buggy a few months ago, but all the updates, never have any issues.

I suppose its good enough... as long as you dont get the red screen...
Must be even worse than the blue.

Some days ago the keyboard/input stoped working... talk about crappy and bad timing.
I wonder how much the bugs in vista cost for companies :P maybe its a trick from MS side :p

Yesterday I shot down the spooler service by renaming a printer.

Vista is far from great.

I've hated everything since 2000. Vista is ok for just putzing around ( if you don't try to do too much) but it seems pretty.. err... sensitive to anyone actually working on it.

I've never had a BSOD on Vista that wasn't related to faulty hardware (memory chip that fried itself). I've installed about ten different printers - networked and local - on my system. The only program that manages a decent crash rate on my system if Firefox, once it really starts to eat away at the memory. And every single person I've met that whines about Vista tried to install it on a PC that was relatively decent when XP was released or they've never actually used it. Or they've tried to use older printers (made before 2004 or something like that) and there is nothing worse than printer drivers in the computing world.

That Vista is the worst OS ever released is a lie. Windows Me and Mac OS X Cheetah share that spot without a doubt.

Why pritners deprecate like that is insane though.
Had to showhorn XP drivers for my uncle's laserjet 1000.....
that's probably why the spooler crashed too, when I renamed it. At least printing works.
No driver for the scanner yet, apparently with some mucking about it's possible to install the XP drivers as well.

It's windows XP driver support all over again...

At least Puma was a free upgrade to Cheetah. :p

ME was the last of that line and so theoretically should have been the best and most stable.

Vista isn't as bad as ME, no.  I don't even own a Vista machine, but I'm forced to use/fix them at work.  Regardless, Vista is not better than XP, which it should have been.

We still had to pay for Jaguar though. IMO, the service packs (Applespeak: New Versions) should have been free up until Panther.

Cacao and Object-C for life!

...

or not :-P
xcode is 5-10 years behind visual.
Not too surprising.

Though the new release idea for iphone/ipod software is cool.
It's almost like it didn't come from apple.

I disagree, I found XP to be a complete nightmare of an OS, prone to crashes and blue screens... *gag*

ME however is the worst OS thus far to date. And yes, Windows 2000 was Microsoft's finest, but I still think Vista kicks ass.

Sorry, that is just wrong.  :)  Even professionals I know who advocate using Vista only do it because eventually, it's all that will be supported.  Not because it's better than XP is.
