I saw pics and the video last night of my sisters 20 week ultrasound of her little Ferdinand... It was very, very cool to see him swimming around in there!  :D  19 weeks to go for them :)
Hermaphrodite Jesus, he hides in the carport.  The neighbour car headlights shine on him, he's scared.
He stoops and he cowers, they call a policeman, they came and they siezed him, and laughed at his hair.
And Jesus hates policemen, for their hearts can know no love.
That's why every time he sees the man, he says "Hey let's beat it, it's the fuzz"

It is amazing.  At least once a day I pull out Anastasia's ultrasound pictures and marvel at it.  It's crazy to think a little person is inside of me.

Fucking FINALLY.

So after I go in for a routine checkup, being past my due date, the doctor decides that since I'm not making any progress on my own, to induce labor the next day and keep me in the hospital. This makes me rather happy, as I was quite donw being pregnant.

So after 12 hours of medicine to soften my cervix, which seemed to do nothing but give me pain, they started me on pitosin, which usually stars labor in a couple hours.

Usually. Unless you're me.

They ended up maxing out my dosage of it, and after 8 hours of absolutely zero results, decided it was c-section time. While scared at first, this went okay, and they gave me some kind of painkiller that really knocked me for a loop, seeing double and almost complete incoherency. It was kinda fun. :)

But the point of this story, besides my absolutely failing at labor, is that Ethan Xavier Tackett was born at 4:32 pm, EST. 9 pounds, 15 ounces, and 21 inches long. He's huge, and that's probably why I didn't labor at all. My body was all "Oh HELL no."

Only a couple pictures for now.

Jason (dad) and Ethan: http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/6715/gh0stlyethan8cn.jpg

Thanks to everyone who gave me support and well-wishes. :)

Congratulations Aleah :) He looks like he's got all his parts and pieces in place ;)
9 pounds, omg, that's huge indeed for a firstborn! Looks like he's going to be a big boy :)
